“My clay work attempts to explore the depth of the human spirit and the vastness of the human soul, within the context of the natural landscaped world. The luxurious nature of this physical world weaves the cloth with which we wrap ourselves and the threads by which we can choose to live, should we unveil our eyes afresh. The elements of nature herself provide the linguistics and colour with which to speak………clay and the earth, air and the wind, flame and fire, water and the rain. My work is about the explosion of human colour found in the heart of a grey rock, it is for me about wonder and awe, microscopic details, panoramic views, sky, land, ocean, sea bed and all life contained therein. All of this is reined within the principles of design……..space, form, line, structure, pattern, colour, and follows the ancient processes to creating ceramics.”
